Your journey to follow your dream may have started as mine did.
The Covid-19 pandemic may have impacted your financial security just as it did mine. Uncertainty & fear spread across the globe at lightning speed. Many people lost their jobs & security. Employers were cautious about hiring. Many of you may suffer the same depression as I experienced as you search, unsuccessfully, for a new job. However, one day I gave up seeking employment and decided to follow my dream. I ignored my fear of failure & started some courses in indie game development. The hardest step is the first step – believe in yourself and just get started!
Indie game dev is just like PLAYING a game, set high goals & if you fail, try something new.
The Learning Curve
Udemy provides some awesome learning experiences. GameDevTV provides amazing quality courses on indie-game dev and their community is incredibly supportive. And so, my journey began. It is scary that no money is coming in right now; however, the positive energy & joy in my life is amazing. Pandemic induced isolation is not a problem when you can build amazing worlds to explore where the only limitation is your imagination. I enjoy creating these worlds & playing in them so much I decided to take the next step and create a game others might enjoy experiencing.
First Success!
Jaki’s Wacky Adventure is the fourth game developed by Zoozle Zone, LLC and the first game to make it to Steam. So, don’t get discouraged if your first attempt is not successful – or maybe it is never even finished. Just try something new and have fun.
